On the 40th anniversary of Faber-Castell’s entry into the cosmetics industry, the 257- year-old company that has been an icon in the stationery business, announced it will open a plant in the U.S. in the Chicago area, convenient to O’Hare International Airport.

Countess Mary von Faber-Castell (on right in photo above) made the announcement during MakeUp in NewYork where the Germany-based supplier is exhibiting this week. She said the move comes at the demand of their U.S.
customers and their need for a local, efficient supply chain.

The supplier’s popular color cosmetics pencils will be the first products to be manufactured in the new facility.
